Traditional Martial Art

ITF Taekwondo

ITF Taekwondo (International Taekwon-Do Federation) is a traditional martial art founded in 1955 by General Choi Hong Hi, who united ancient Korean martial arts with modern principles of biomechanics. The word "Taekwon-Do" can be broken down into three concepts: Tae (foot), Kwon (fist), and Do (the way, art, or method), literally meaning "the way of the foot and the fist".

Recognized today in many countries around the world, ITF Taekwondo is based on 24 tul (patterns of movements), each carrying a historical or philosophical significance unique to Korean culture. It represents much more than a simple combat sport.

Our approach emphasizes technique, self-defense, and personal development. Every movement has a meaning, every strike has a purpose.

Taekwondo is not just a way of fighting, but a way of life.
